1. Formulate policies and programs related to port state control inspection operations.

2. Monitor PSC inspection activities conducted by PSC units.

3. Coordinate and liaise with international bodies on matters related to PSC inspections.

4. Keep an updated file of different international instruments being enforced on foreign-flagged vessels.

5. Perform other functions as CG-8 may direct.
