The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Station Surigao del Norte has released the following updates regarding the search and rescue (SAR) operations for the missing crewmembers of LCT Cebu Great Ocean that ran aground at the vicinity waters off Barangay Cantapoy, Malimono, Surigao del Norte on 19 April 2021:

- At around 06:05 a.m. yesterday, 23 April 2021, the SAR team has recovered the body of missing crewmember, Klint Auxtero at the vicinity waters off Barangay Oslao, San Francisco, Surigao del Norte.

- At around 06:38 a.m., the body of Limuel Dadivas was also found at Barangay Balite, San Francisco, Surigao del Norte.

- As of 04:30 p.m. yesterday, the SAR team temporarily suspended their operations due to unfavorable weather and sea condition.

- Meanwhile, the PCG Marine Environmental Protection Force – North Eastern Mindanao has supervised the siphoning operations conducted to LCT Cebu Great Ocean.

- The PCG Station Surigao del Norte also issued a 'Certificate of Salvage Inspection Number 1' to Raul Basmayor, PCG-accredited salvor, as a supporting document to their salvage operations involving LCT Cebu Great Ocean.
