In an effort to strengthen its commitment and support to the Accessibility Law, Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Commandant, Admiral George V Ursabia Jr signed Memorandum Circular No. 01-21 relating to the mainstreaming of accessibility perspective and senior citizens' concerns in to the regular activities of the PCG on 10 June 2021.

Said policy provides guidelines to ensure that the concerns of PWDs and senior citizens are integrated in the formulation and implementation of plans, programs, and projects of the PCG, through the PCG - Task Force on Accessibility (PCG - TFA).

The PCG - TFA is composed of committed advocates of the marginalized sector who actively work towards mainstreaming of accessibility perspective and senior citizens' concerns into the regular programs and activities of the Command.

Said Task Force supports the nationwide campaign on disability awareness geared towards empowerment and integration of PWDs and senior citizens into the mainstream of society so they could become partners in nation building.
