The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) convened a total of 507 male trainees to compose the Coast Guard Non-Officer's Course Class 93-2022 in Dipaculao, Aurora in a ceremony held yesterday, 03 November 2022.

PCG Commandant, Admiral Artemio Abu presided over the oath taking ceremony followed by the reception rites.

He further reminded the trainees to display the highest level of camaraderie and build the culture of trust and respect to each other.

"Sa class na ito, while undergoing the training, simulan na ninyo na maging magkakaibigan. I expect no one from you to display that false self-entitlement, because such behavior breeds arrogance and disrespect. Be humble. Magtulungan kayo so that everyone will be able to handle the training," CG Admiral Abu encouraged the trainees.

"We need to introduce and get accustomed to the contemporary approach in governance and public service and that is giving importance to establishing good human relations. Be cordial to one another, simulan natin ang kultura na ang bawat kasapi ng Coast Guard ay nagtuturingan na magkakaibigan at ang kanilang gawi ay pwedeng ihalintulad sa samahan bilang magkakapatid." CG Admiral Abu ended.

The said ceremony was graced by CG Commodore Roben De Guzman, Deputy Commander of Coast Guard Education Training and Doctrine Command;  Honorable Christian Noveras, Governor; Hon. Rommel Angara, Congressman; Honorable Danilo Tolentino, Mayor of Aurora Province; and other senior officers and non-officers from various PCG units.
