MEPCOM and MSSC personnel participated in this capacity-building initiative that covered terrain modelling, Jungle Environment Survival Training (JEST), land navigation, patrolling, and combat maneuvers in Ternate, Cavite, from 16 to 18 May 2023.

They gained new knowledge, improved their skill set, enhanced interoperability, and strengthened camaraderie with guidance from the Coast Guard Special Operation Force, Naval Special Operations Command, and the Philippine Marines.

According to PCG Commandant, CG Admiral Artemio M Abu, the joint MEPCOM-MSSC FTX successfully upheld military doctrines among Coast Guard personnel and improved collaboration with the Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine National Police, and other armed services.

It also fostered camaraderie through healthy competitions that test personnel's capabilities and leverage their respective strengths and expertise in solving different challenges.

This year's 𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐌𝐏𝐈𝐎𝐍 was MSSC for dominating marksmanship, terrain modelling, land navigation, patrolling, and combat maneuvers.

Meanwhile, MEPCOM was recognized as the 𝐌𝐎𝐒𝐓 𝐃𝐈𝐒𝐂𝐈𝐏𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐄𝐃 𝐓𝐄𝐀𝐌 by exhibiting excellence in Command and Control.
