INCIDENT REPORT: The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) assisted in ensuring the safety of five Filipino fishermen on board a motorbanca that encountered engine trouble in the vicinity waters between Cajidiocan, Romblon, and Southern Quezon on 11 September 2023.

While conducting the search and rescue (SAR) operation off Sibuyan Island and Burias Island in Masbate, the PCG received an update that the distressed motorbanca drifted toward the vicinity waters off Barangay Pasig in Claveria, Masbate.

Consequently, three passing motorbancas rescued the five Filipino fishermen and brought them to the barangay hall for further assistance.
