PCG Commandant honors two exceptional sea marshals

Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Commandant, CG Admiral Ronnie Gil L Gavan, has honored CG Seaman First Class (SN1) Christian Leden Marquez and CG SN1 Elmer Dacanay at the Coast Guard District Southwestern Mindanao Headquarters in Zamboanga City today, 25 November 2023.

CG Admiral Gavan awarded the said Coast Guard Sea Marshals with the COAST GUARD BRONZE CROSS MEDAL AND RIBBON for their extraordinary achievement and acts of heroism in responding to a reported civilian running amok at Port of Bongao, Tawi-Tawi, on 22 November 2023.

"The successful arrest of the civilian who ran amok proves how professional, competent, and courageous our Coast Guard sea marshals are in fulfilling their mandated functions," CG Admiral Gavan said.
