Coast Guard District Southwestern Mindanao (CGDSWM) Commander, CG Commodore Marco Antonio Gines, recognized BRP Gabriela Silang (OPV-8301), BRP Tubbataha (MRRV-4401) and MCS 3006 crew after the successful six-day DOJ-IACAT mission in the ZamBaSulTa region from 21 to 29 January 2024.

CG Commodore Gines appreciated their exceptional performance towards strengthening backdoor exit against Trafficking in Person (TIP) and smuggling of migrants by sea.

The awardees received the "Coast Guard Commendation Medal and Ribbon" and "Coast Guard Meritorious Unit Commendation Ribbon" for their dedication to duty.

The CGDSWM Commander said their exemplary performance reflects great credit upon themselves and is in keeping with the highest traditions of the Coast Guard service.
