πˆππ‚πˆπƒπ„ππ“ π‘π„ππŽπ‘π“: The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) responded to a drowning incident at the vicinity waters off Sandoval Bridge, Pasig River yesterday, 07 February 2024.

On 02:10 PM the same date, the PCG Station MalacaΓ±ang launched a underwater search and rescue (SAR) operations after receiving a call from CDRRMO Pasig City regarding an alleged drowning incident at the said vicinity waters.

During the investigation, 18-year-old Jopeth Javier were swimming together with his friends and unable to go afloat and has gone missing since then.

The PCG SAR team was able to retrieve the lifeless body of Javier who was a resident of Brgy Rosario Pasig city and confirmed by his bereaved family.

The said cadaver was brought to the river bank of Sandoval Bridge and had turned over to family of the victim with the presence of PNP SOCO.
