The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has received various operational equipment from the German government during a hand-over ceremony at the National Headquarters, Port Area, Manila.

German Ambassador to the Philippines, Dr. Andreas Michael Pfaffernoschke, PCG Deputy Commandant for Administration, CG Vice Admiral Allan Victor Dela Vega, and Chief of Coast Guard Staff, CG Rear Admiral Hostillo Arturo Cornelio, graced the turn-over of several units of printer, camera, underwater camera, projector, smart TV, desktop computer, and microphone.

β€œOn behalf of the men and women of Philippine Coast Guard, thank you for the continued partnership and cooperation. We express our hopes and prayers for the sustained success of all your endeavors as you continue to extend assistance in strengthening the capabilities of partner nations,” CG Rear Admiral Cornelio said.

β€œThese donations will greatly help enforce the mandated functions of the Command to provide additional support to the efforts of PCG personnel in securing maritime waters and implement maritime security,” he furthered.

For his part, Ambassador Pfaffernoschke said they will continue to support the PCG and its efforts to uphold international rule-based order, global peace, and security.

β€œRest assured that Germany will remain a reliable partner in promoting peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific,” the German Ambassador to the Philippines furthered.
