July 3, 2024 – A Ceremonial Turnover of the Senior Citizens, Persons with Disabilities (PWD), and Gender and Development (GAD) Building took place at the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) ROIX in Tetuan, Zamboanga City led by CG Commo Marco Antonio P Gines and Engr. Cayamombao D. Dia, CESO III, Regional Director of DPWH ROIX.
Commodore Gines received the completed project from Engineer Dia during the ceremonial turnover and assumed full responsibility for the proper operation and maintenance of the building.
“Let me convey my gratitude to the Department of Public Works and Highways, ROIX for the successful completion of Senior Citizens, PWD, and GAD Building, Coast Guard District Southwestern Mindanao, Pagadian, Zamboanga del Sur. This attests to the progress of our District in upgrading our facilities,” said Commodore Gines.
The GAD Building will complement the capability of the CGDSWM in providing a development perspective and process that is participatory and empowering, equitable, sustainable, free from violence, respectful of human rights for the benefit of our elderly, PWD, women, and for the protection of our children, among others.
Also present at the event were Commander Marilyn L Jaal, Deputy Commander, CGDSWM, Lieutenant Junior Grade Mark Joseph P Bani, Station Commander, CGS Zamboanga del Sur, alongside other officers from CGDSWM.
