President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr has approved the promotion of 19 Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Commodores.
The PCG held their donning and oath-taking ceremony in Manila on 04 October 2024.
The following Coast Guard officers were promoted:

4. Commodore Ivan Roldan PCG - Commander, Coast Guard District North Western Luzon (CGDNWLZN)

During the event, Department of Transportation - Philippines (DOTr) Secretary Jaime Bautista urged the promotees to thank their families who supported their careers and helped them in reaching this milestone.
He also directed the newly promoted Coast Guard Commodores to continue to display gallantry in protecting the country's maritime jurisdiction.
βYour sacrifice may be a short-term personal difficulty. At the same time, your sacrifice will be for the long-term gain of the country. Be proud of how far you have come. Be proud that you are now a Commodore,β the DOTr Secretary expressed.
On behalf of PCG Commandant, Admiral Ronnie Gil L Gavan PCG, Deputy Commandant for Administration, Rear Admiral Edgar YbaΓ±ez PCG, congratulated and commended the newly promoted Commodores.
