The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) will host the Inter-Agency Maritime Capability Exercise (MARCAPEX 2024) that will be held in the Davao Region from 21 to 23 November 2024.

According to the Coast Guard District Southeastern Mindanao (CGDSEM), the capacity building initiative will serve as an avenue for Philippine maritime agencies to strengthen the country’s maritime defense and operations.

“The said event will showcase our expertise in a series of high-level exercises to enhance response strategies and maritime security across the Davao region,” the CGDSEM furthered.

Aside from the PCG, the Philippine National Police (PNP), Philippine Navy (PN), Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), Bureau of Customs PH (BOC), Davao City Central 911, Philippine Red Cross (PRC), Office of Civil Defense (OCD), and Davao City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) will also participate in the MARCAPEX 2024.
