On behalf of Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Commandant, Admiral Ronnie Gil L Gavan PCG, PCG's Deputy Commandant for Operations, Vice Admiral Rolando Lizor Punzalan Jr PCG, presided over the oath taking ceremony of the newly appointed Coast Guard probationary ensigns and draftees at Port Area, Manila, today, 30 December 2024.
During the event, Vice Admiral Punzalan welcomed and congratulated the 800 newly appointed probationary ensigns and 1,200 draftees.
“By taking your oath, you are not just joining an organization, you are committing to a calling, one that demands unfaltering dedication, discipline, and service to our country and its people,” the PCG Deputy Commandant for Operations highlighted.
Moreover, Vice Admiral Punzalan emphasized that the newly appointed probationary ensigns should become the leaders who inspire others with their shared vision and commitment to service.
Meanwhile, he reminded the draftees of their main responsibility which is to support the Coast Guard organization.
“I look forward to the day when you complete your training and join the ranks of those who proudly serve our maritime nation.” he furthered.
