The Philippine Military Academy rendered a Testimonial Honors for Commodore Ramon LopezΒ PCG, Deputy Commander of the Maritime Security Law Enforcement Command (MARSLEC) and Acting Commander of the Coast Guard Chemical, Biological, Radiological & Nuclear Force (CGCBRNF) in Baguio City on 23 February 2025.
His operational assignments include serving in both junior and senior shipboard positions on Coast Guard vessels, staff roles in the Coast Guard District Southeastern Mindanao and Central Visayas, and as Station Commander of Coast Guard Stations Surigao del Sur, Davao Oriental, Bohol, Southern Leyte, and Ormoc. He also held key positions as Superintendent of the Coast Guard School and Chief of Staff of the Coast Guard Ready Force.
His shore assignments included staff duties at the National Headquarters, where he served as Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff for Maritime Safety Services, CG-8; Deputy Chief of Coast Guard Staff for Logistics, CG-4; and Deputy Chief of Coast Guard Staff for Human Resource Management, CG-1. Additionally, he served as Flag Secretary to the Commandant of the Philippine Coast Guard and Deputy Commandant for Administration.
He was also designated as Commander of the National Headquarters - Headquarters Support Group, Base Commander of Coast Guard Base Farola, Coast Guard Internal Auditor, Director of the Coast Guard Real Estate Management Office, Commander of the Coast Guard Human Resource Management Command, Deputy Commander of the Maritime Safety Services Command, Deputy Commander of the Coast Guard Education, Training, and Doctrine Command, and Commander of the Coast Guard Logistics Systems Command.
He has completed various training programs both locally and abroad, most notably the Port State Control Training in Trieste, Italy, and Yokohama, Japan.
He also earned a Masterβs degree in Maritime Affairs with a specialization in Integrated Coastal and Ocean Management from the World Maritime University in MalmΓΆ, Sweden.
The driving force behind his many accomplishments is the unwavering support of his family, a constant source of love, happiness, and strength.
His dedicated wife, Dra. Ma. Cecilia Angela Lopez, and their unico hijo, CG Cadet Ramon Angelo Lopez, have been his pillars of strength.
