𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: The 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐆𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐝 rendered a Testimonial Parade and Review for 𝐕𝐀𝐃𝐌 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐋𝐈𝐄 𝐐 𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐒 𝐏𝐂𝐆, Commander, Coast Guard Education, Training and Doctrine Command and held a Turn-Over Ceremony of the Command with 𝐀𝐃𝐌 𝐑𝐎𝐍𝐍𝐈𝐄 𝐆𝐈𝐋 𝐋 𝐆𝐀𝐕𝐀𝐍 𝐏𝐂𝐆, Commandant, Philippine Coast Guard as Guest of Honor and Speaker at Coast Guard Fleet Parade Ground on 13 May 2025.

The ceremonial event honors 𝐕𝐀𝐃𝐌 𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐒 𝐏𝐂𝐆 who is a proud member of 𝐌𝐀𝐀𝐋𝐀𝐁 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝟏𝟗𝟗𝟑 and with a distinguished military career marked by his numerous leadership positions, including commanding various Philippine Coast Guard vessels and Units.

In his 36 years, 1 month and 14 days of service, 𝐕𝐀𝐃𝐌 𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐒 𝐏𝐂𝐆 was appointed as the Chief of Staff of the Coast Guard Fleet; Deputy Commander of Coast Guard Surface Support Force; and Commander of Coast Guard Logistics System Command, Coast Guard Fleet, Coast Guard Weapons, Communications, Electronics, and Information Systems Command, Coast Guard District North-Eastern Luzon, Coast Guard District Northwestern Luzon, and Coast Guard District National Capital Region – Central Luzon.

𝐕𝐀𝐃𝐌 𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐒 𝐏𝐂𝐆 has also contributed significantly to national security, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic, and in the neutralization of terrorist groups like the Abu Sayyaf. With a strong commitment to professional development, 𝐕𝐀𝐃𝐌 𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐒 𝐏𝐂𝐆 has pursued advanced studies in marine environments, public administration, and various specialized military training. His extensive service and dedication have earned him numerous prestigious awards, cementing his legacy as a key figure in the Philippine Coast Guard.

His more than 7 years of sea duty tour taught 𝐕𝐀𝐃𝐌 𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐒 𝐏𝐂𝐆 the importance of promoting the safety of life and property at sea, and the protection of the marine environment. One of his notable achievements aboardship was during his stint as Commanding Officer of Coast Guard vessels from Category 1 to Category 3 were adjudged as the “ship of the year.”

After his completion and qualification standards for Commanding Officer, he was subsequently awarded the most coveted Command at Sea Badge.

Moreover, the Philippine Coast Guard presented the Command Plaque, Plaque of Honorable Service, Medal Frame and Philippine Flag to 𝐕𝐀𝐃𝐌 𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐒 𝐏𝐂. Likewise, a Plaque of Recognition was given to 𝐌𝐫𝐬. 𝐀𝐫𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐞 𝐃. 𝐑𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬.

After the Testimonial Parade and Review, 𝐕𝐀𝐃𝐌 𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐒 𝐏𝐂𝐆 relinquished all duties and responsibilities as Commander, CGETDC to 𝐑𝐀𝐃𝐌 𝐓𝐈𝐓𝐎 𝐀𝐋𝐕𝐈𝐍 𝐆 𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐀𝐋 𝐏𝐂𝐆 who assumed duties as 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫, 𝐂𝐆𝐄𝐓𝐃𝐂.
