The Philippine Military Academy (PMA) has rendered a testimonial parade and review in honor of Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Acting Deputy Commandant for Administration, Rear Admiral Joeven L Fabul PCG, in Baguio City on 07 June 2025.
The vision of President Ferdinand R Marcos Jr. of inspiring the next generation of maritime professionals was pursued by Rear Admiral Fabul PCGβs dedication to duty and nation building.
Rear Admiral Fabul PCG is a proud member of the βTanglaw-diwa" Class of 1992 where he embarked on a lifelong commitment to service and excellence.
Prior entering the prestigious Philippine Military Academy, he demonstrated academic excellence early on by graduating with honors in both primary and secondary education.
Aside from being the Acting Deputy Commandant for Administration, he also serves as the Commander of the Coast Guard Weapons, Communications, Electronics, and Information Systems Command (CGWCEISC).
As a distinguished officer of the PCG, he had built a remarkable career in maritime safety, security, and leadership.
His extensive education and training-both locally and internationally, have equipped him with a deep understanding of maritime governance and safety.
He holds a Master of Science in Maritime Safety and Environmental Protection from the World Maritime University in MalmΓΆ, Sweden.
His expertise is further honed through specialized training in maritime technical operations, accident investigation, and international safety protocols in the United States of America, Singapore, Denmark, and Sweden.
As a top graduate of the Command and Staff Course in 2001, he exemplifies strategic leadership in every aspect of his career.
His leadership has been instrumental in previous high-profile roles, including Chief of Coast Guard Staff, Commander of the Coast Guard Logistics Systems Command (CGLSC), and the pioneering Flag Rank Commander of the Coast Guard Finance Service (CGFS).
His service extends to key operational and administrative positions, showcasing his expertise in maritime security, logistics, and strategic planning.
A decorated officer, Rear Admiral Fabul PCG, has been honored with numerous awards, including the Coast Guard Distinguished Service Medal, Outstanding Achievement Medal, Superior Achievement Medal, and the Presidential Citation, among others.
Beyond his professional achievements, Rear Admiral Fabul PCG finds strength and fulfillment in his family. He is happily married to Monette Aranas Fabul, and together they are blessed with four children, namely: Francis Ray, Caitlin Jovene, Joeven Jr., and Nathan Piers.
Rear Admiral Fabul PCG will formally retire after 37 years of public service on 20 June 2025.
