The Philippine Coast GuardΒ (PCG) held the KAMARE Series: Senior Leadership Forum at the Taguig City University Auditorium, Barangay Central Bicutan, Taguig City, on July 15, 2025.
According to the Maritime Security Law Enforcement CommandΒ (MARSLEC), this initiative is aligned with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.βs advocacy to honor the strength, resilience, and contributions of Filipino women, recognizing their vital role in shaping the nation.
This yearβs forum, designed to amplify female leadership within the PCG, was graced by:
Rear Admiral Mitzie Silva-Campo PCG β Commander, Coast Guard Internal Audit (CGIA), and the first female two-star flag-rank officer in PCG history
Commodore Glenda Pereyra PCG β Deputy Commander, Marine Environmental Protection CommandΒ (MEPCOM)
Commodore Maricor Soliva PCG β Chief of Staff, Coast Guard Education, Training and Doctrine CommandΒ (CGETDC)
Commodore Christine Pauline Diciano PCG β Director, Leadership and Doctrine Development Center under CGETDC
Commander Cecille Jimenez PCG β Director, PCG GAD Center under the Coast Guard Human Resource Management CommandΒ (CGHRMC)
βBy reinforcing the principles of the U.N. Women, Peace, and Security agenda, alongside the PCGβs own Gender and Development policies, the forum emphasized the critical importance of gender inclusivity in advancing organizational effectiveness and maritime security operations,β the MARSLEC expressed.
βWith these respected officers at the helm, the event not only celebrated the accomplishments of women in the service but also forged pathways for future generations of Coast Guardiansβensuring that leadership opportunities become more equitable and accessible to all,β the Command furthered.
