The Regional Training Center Misamis OrientalΒ held the Recognition Rites of Coast Guard Non-Officers' Course Class 111-2025 in Misamis Oriental on 23 July 2025.
With the support of President Ferdinand R Marcos Jr.'s efforts to improve the Philippine Coast GuardΒ (PCG) capabilities, focused on building its capacity and personnel, the Coast Guard Education, Training and Doctrine CommandΒ (CGETDC) is dedicated in helping the Regional Training Center Misamis Oriental in cultivating skilled and principled public servants, ready to serve the country with honor and integrity.
The ceremony honored the dedication and achievements of the 629 female trainees who will soon join the PCG.
Commander of CGETDC, Rear Admiral Tito Alvin Andal PCG, presided over the recognition ceremony. In his message, the CGETDC Commander emphasized his gratitude to the perseverance of the female trainees despite the challenges of the bootcamp phase. Also, RADM Andal PCG highlighted their greater roles as the future of the PCG embodied with deep sense of pride and accountability.
βThis day is a symbol not just of what you have endured, but of what you now represent. You are the new face of strength. You are the proof that Filipinas are not only capable of servingβthey are more than ready to lead,β he added.
The said Recognition rites hold the essence of a Candidate Coast Guard Non-Officerβs victory in overcoming the challenges of the bootcamp stage, which is considered the hardest phase of the training, preparing them to be physically fit, emotionally stable, and decisive decision makers amidst work pressure as they become full-fledged Non-Officers of the PCG.
These newly recognized Candidate Coast Guard Non-Officers will then advance to the academic phase where they will further hone their knowledge, leadership skills, and operational competence in preparation for their future duties.
