The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Station in Masbate led by Lieutenant Edgardo Aguilar has received six (6) New People’s Army (NPA) rebels who surrendered on 11 December 2019.

The former rebels yielded one M16 rifle, one .45 caliber pistol, and one .38 caliber pistol.

Lieutenant Aguilar turned over the former rebels to Joint Task Force Bicolandia Commander Major General Fernando Trinidad of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) at Sitio Baclay, Barangay Bacolod, Milagros, Masbate.

The surrenderees received monetary assistance and shall be enrolled in the government's Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP) where they will receive training and livelihood programs from different government agencies to make them productive members of the society.
