PCG: Personnel of Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) Balatan successfully rescued four (4) crews and their boat captain onboard Fishing Banca "JNB-1" that went in distress at vicinity waters off Barangay Caorasan, Bula, Camarines Sur yesterday, 24 February.

The incident was reported to CGSS Balatan by the owner of subject Fishing Banca "JNB-1", Julito B Begino, a resident of Barangay Siramag, Balatan, Camarines Sur at around 1:15 PM of the said date informing that while enroute to said vicinity to buy fish, his fishing banca encountered an engine trouble that caused her to be dead on water which prompted Boat Captain Noli Flores to call Mr. Begino and requested for assistance/rescue.

Immediately upon receipt of the report, PCG SAR team together with Bantay Dagat personnel proceeded at the incident area and successfully conducted rescue operation.

Meanwhile, the distressed Fishing Banca "JNB-1" was towed back to the shoreline of Siramag, Balatan, Camarines Sur and all the rescued crews and boat captain are now in good physical condition.
