PCG: Elements of Coast Guard Station (CGS) Iloilo together with personnel of Mountain Tiger Rescue Group (MTRG) rendered assistance to a male floating cadaver who felloff the bridge and went missing at Lapuz, Iloilo City since Sunday, August 19.

The victim was identified as Edgardo O Ferrer, 55 years old, a resident of Brgy Bachaw, Manduriao, Iloilo City.

CGS Iloilo received a phone call from Ms. Shelbeth Infante, of Iloilo City Emergency Responders informing that there was an unidentified person who fell off the Querino Lopez bridge.

Joint team compose of personnel of CGS Iloilo, CGSS Jordan, SOUWV personnel 601st Squadron of the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary onboard rubber boat conducted surface search operation along the Iloilo River and the adjacent vicinities but yielded negative result.

Moreover, on August 21, a floated cadaver was sighted more or less 100 meters from Drilon Bridge Brgy Rizal, Lapaz Iloilo City.

CGSS Jordan together with SOUWV proceeded to the said area and rendered assistance. The said cadaver was confirmed to be Ferrer by his sister and was brought to Sumagpao Funeral Home for proper disposition.
