PCG: A total of 48 PCG aspiring officers and 101 trainees successfully graduated today during their commencement exercise at Coast Guard Non-Officers' Basic Education and Training Center in Taguig City.
The joint graduation ceremony of Coast Guard Officers' Course (CGOC) "ALAB-MAGAT" Class 20-2015 composed of 48 officers (29 of which are male and 19 female) and Coast Guardsman's Course (CGMC) "SAMBALAS" Class 56-2016 composed of 101 male trainees was graced by the PCG Chief of Coast Guard Staff, Commodore Bon Dan D Chan PCG as its Keynote Speaker.
Furthermore, CGOC CL 20 has successfully completed their 1 year and 2 months of rigid physical and academic training at the Coast Guard Officers Basic Education and Training Center in Bagac, Bataan and CGMC CL 56 finished their 8 months of training at the Coast Guard Non-Officers' Basic Education and Training Center in Taguig, City.
Said officers and non-officers will be assigned to different Coast Guard units to help implement and perform the mandates of the PCG as the lead maritime agency.
Said ceremony was also attended by CAPT RUDYARD M SOMERA PCG MNSA, CESE, Deputy Commander of Coast Guard Education and Training Center and other senior and junior officers and non-officers of PCG.
