PCG: Continuous Search and Rescue (SAR) operations are still being conducted by the Coast Guard Station Puerto Princesa since October 21 after two (2) fishermen were reported missing while on a fishing venture.

A certain Rogelio Cervates, 51 years old and the owner of unregistered Mbca Queen Eunice, appeared at CGS Puerto Princesa to seek assistance for his two (2) fishing crew onboard said motorbanca.

Initial reports revealed that MBCA Queen Eunice was last seen by Mbca Fria on October 20, 2017 at vicinity waters off Nera, Cumay-Cumay, Island, Palawan.

Upon receipt of the report, CGS Brooke’s point coordinated with Local Government Units (LGU), other government agencies and stake holders in the area to assist for the possible conduct of Search and Rescue (SAR) operations, however, yielded negative result due to unfavorable sea and weather condition.

Coast Guard has already advised all ships/ watercrafts transiting in the said area to be on the lookout of the said missing motorbanca and to immediately report to the nearest PCG station/sub-station if sighted.
