PCG: More than 70 persons were assisted by the Coast Guard from a distressed motor boat at the vicinity waters of San Miguel, Ticao and Burias Island. 

The 66 passengers and seven crew were onboard motor banca Lupanggo when it suddenly incurred engine trouble around 1:30 PM yesterday. 

According to its captain Rene Espinilla, the boat's propeller shaft broke while underway to Aroroy, Masbate. 

Upon receipt of information, the personnel of Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) Pilar immediately proceeded to the area, assisted the passengers and towed the boat back to Pilar Port.
