Joint elements of Coast Guard K9, Coast Guard Sub Station (CGSS) Dumangas and PPA security intercepted eleven (11) kilos of marijuana dry leaves and bricks from the two suspects who were about to board a vessel bound for Bacolod at Dumangas Port on December 23, 2016.

According to reports, around 7:30 AM of the same date while the team was manning the Passenger Assistance Center (PAC) at Dumangas Port, two passengers refused to submit their back packs for inspection. Coast Guard K9 intercepted the two passengers but the suspects ran away outside the port area. The two were then intercepted hiding in the houses of nearby residences

They were identified as Tonichi Juson Ami, single, 25 years old and Abdullah Laurel Ishaq, single, 29 years old, both residents of Bacolod City.

The suspects together with their back packs were turned-over to Dumangas PNP in the presence of Mayor Golez of Dumangas for proper disposition. Inventory of the confiscated items were facilitated by IPP SWAT and Bomb Squad with the presence of SSUPT Harold Tuzon PNP, PD of Iloilo Provincial Police Office.
