PCG: Five drug dealers in La Union were busted by the composite team of Coast Guard, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) last Tuesday, February 10.

The PCG K-9 and Special Operations Unit of the Northwestern Luzon (SOU-NWLZN) joined PDEA Region 1 and PNP Regional Public Safety Battalion Region 1 in serving the warrant of arrest to suspected drug dealers in Barangay San Nicolas West Agoo, La Union.

A search warrant was likewise issued by the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 31.

Six plastic sachets of shabu were detected by Coast Guard working dog "Titan" from a wooden cabinet in the house of a certain Salvador Ramos. 

On the same day, the team found nine plastic sachets of shabu and one unlicensed firearm with live ammunition from the house of Felix Quero, while another six sachets of the same illegal drugs were found from the house of Marianito Albelda. 

The team also discovered six sachets of shabu from the house of John Prince Queso Vasay while another three were found from the residence of Feliciano Ramos.

All five suspects and the confiscated items were turned- over to PDEA Region-1 Office and PNP Region-1 for proper disposition.
