PCG: Illegal fishers were arrested by the joint elements of the Coast Guard Sub Station (CGSS) San Vicente, Special Operations Unit of Northwestern Luzon and Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) after being caught in the act of using dynamite for fishing in the waters of Sta Ana, Cagayan last Tuesday, March 3. 

Said team was conducting coastal patrol as a result of the report made by personnel of BFAR that illegal fishing activities were allegedly conducted at the said vicinity.

The crew and boat captain were apprehended including the equipment they used for illegal fishing and were turned-over to BFAR-Aparri for inquest while their boat was towed and was placed temporarily under the custody of CGSS San Vicente.
