PCG: MV Seathiel, a passenger vessel, owned and operated by 2GO Shipping Lines and is skippered by Captain Forito Norman G Teves accidentally rammed Pier 1 Docking Area in Cebu at around 10AM today, March 10.

Initial reports reaching the Coast Guard Headquarters in Manila revealed that the said vessel departed Tagbilaran Port bound for Cebu with 119 passengers onboard encountered malfunction in her engine throttle while conducting docking maneuver at the said port.

18 passengers were reported to have sustained minor bruises and were immediately brought to Cebu City Medical Center for medical treatment.

The Coast Guard further advised the master of the vessel to file a marine protest relative to the incident.
