PCG: A 32-year old fisherman was medically evacuated by the Philippine Coast Guard in Antique after he accidentally injured his foot at the boat's puretic power block last Wednesday, March 18. 

The victim, identified as Ariel Necesario, reportedly trapped his right leg accidentally on the fish net as it was hauled by the mechanized winch.

Necesario was dragged by the power block and suffered a fracture and wound on his right ankle.

F/B SIJ-1 arrived at the Port of San Jose Antique where the injured fisherman was met by the personnel of Coast Guard Station San Jose De Buenavista (CGS SJDB) and the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (MDRRMO). 

The fisherman was rushed to the Iloilo Doctor's Hospital for immediate medical treatment.
