PCG: A total of 1,276 board feet of illegal lumber was confiscated by the joint team of Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) and the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) from two motor boats in Baler yesterday, May 17.
The unnamed motorboats were loaded with 56 pieces of assorted Lawaan and Bagtikan, accounting to 843 board feet; and 19 pieces of Tangile with 433 board feet.
The apprehended motor bancas are presently under the custody of Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) Baler with the following descriptions:
First motor banca (unnamed)
Skipper/Owner – Mr Ricardo Bibon
Color – green and white
Body – red wheelhouse
Engine type – 4DR
Engine Nr – 8307
Second motor banca (abandoned)
Color – white and blue
Body – orange wheelhouse
Engine type (twin engine) – yamada 194F with diesel engine 14hp and yamada 189F with diesel engine 12hp
