PCG: The personnel of Coast Guard Sub-station (CGSS) Nasugbu, together with barangay rescue team and civilian volunteers, retrieved the body of a reported drowning victim in Lian, Batangas last Saturday, July 18.

The victim identified as Jose Ragasa, 52 years old and resident of Mambungan, Antipolo City, drowned while swimming 100 meters away from the shoreline of Linid B Resort in Brgy Matabungkay, Lian, Batangas. 

Upon receipt of the information, CGSS Nasugbu and civilian divers conducted search and rescue operation onboard a rubber boat. The team sighted the cadaver 200 meters off the shoreline of Sitio Ligtasin, Brgy Luhayan, Lian Batangas.

They turned over the said cadaver to PNP Lian for autopsy and was eventually brought to Funeraria Hernando in Nasugbu, Batangas for proper disposition.
