Reports reaching the Coast Guard Action Center in Manila disclosed that seven fishermen were seen waving their hands yesterday at the vicinity of 115 NM West of Salomague Island, in Northern Luzon by the crew NYK Joanna, a cargo vessel transiting Philippine Waters bound for Japan. The seven fishermen were successfully rescued and PCG is coordinating with the shipping company for the turnover of the said fishermen.
Meanwhile, two more fishermen were rescued by cargo vessel MV Anagel Odyssey yesterday 33 nautical miles, North West off Bolinao, Pangasinan. PCG personnel is set to rendezvous the said vessel for the turnover of the fishermen.
