DOTC-PCG: A total of 13 would-be victims of human trafficking were rescued by the personnel of Coast Guard Station (CGS) Zamboanga onboard MV Trisha Kerstin-2 in Port of Bongao last Monday, January 20.

The victims were discovered by the Vessel Safety Enforcement Inspection (VSEI) team and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) around 7:20PM last Monday upon the ship's arrival at the Zamboanga City Pier.

The VSEI team along with Allan Balnig of DSWD immediately assisted the victims who were identified as follows:

2. Eva C Jamito, 22 years old
3. Jicly M Robles, 25 years old
4. Joseph A Manolong, 26 years old
5. Joseto C Dangod, 27 years old
6. Renante Sumondong, 31 years old
7. Anil A Jalapan, 19 years old
8. Marlon D Otao, 30 years old
9. Leonides L Ambalang, 46 years old
10. Joel C Dangod, 26 years old
11. Jerry Belonghilot, 35 years old
12. Rey E Mangan, 22 years old
13. Bryan J Sumondong, 18 years old
