PCG: A total of 5 cadets under the PCG-Philippine Merchant Marine Academy (PMMA) Cadetship Program graduated at PMMA Complex, San Narciso, Zambales last May 20, 2014.
DOTC Undersecretary Edwin R Lopez on behalf of President Benigno S Aquino III as Guest of Honor, PCG Commandant Vice Admiral Rodolfo D Isorena and PMMA President Rear Admiral Richard U Ritual were among who witnessed the 191st PMMA Commencement Exercise.
The cadets were convened in May 2010 as the first batch of the PCG-PMMA cadets.
The three Probationary Ensigns (P/ENS) took up Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation (BSMT) namely P/ENS CARLOS BARNIE Q BAYETA JR PCG, P/ENS KRIS ANN R CUSTODIO PCG and P/ENS VAL ERNIE P DAITAO PCG while two took up Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering (BSMarE) namely P/ENS KATE ROYCE T DESUSA PCG AND P/ENS VINCENT BRYAN M MARCOS PCG.
The officers will take their licensure examination at the Professional Regulatory Commission (PRC) and will undergo Coast Guard Officers Course (CGOC) for six months prior to their commissionship as Ensigns for active duty in the Philippine Coast Guard.
