Did you know that approximately 2,600 of the 18,500 PATRIOTIC, COMPASSIONATE, and GOD-FEARING public servants of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) are WOMEN?

As the country celebrates the 2021 National Women's Month, the PCG takes pride in making another significant mark in its 119-year history in public service — the appointment of its FIRST FEMALE GENERALS with the blessing and support of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte.

Filipina Coast Guardians could testify how the humanitarian armed service, despite being a male-dominated organization, puts premium on providing EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES for learning and career development to its people, regardless of gender.

Through its Gender and Development (GAD) unit, the PCG ensures Coast Guardians are PROTECTED from all forms of GENDER-BASED DISCRIMINATION OR VIOLENCE.

As the PCG pursues modernization to deliver better and improved public service, the Command also guarantees to sustain a CONDUCIVE WORK ENVIRONMENT that upholds GENDER EQUALITY and RESPECT FOR ALL.

Here in the PCG, we believe that Filipina Coast Guardians make change!
