The BRP Bagacay (MRRV-4410) of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) assisted the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) in establishing INTERNET CONNECTIVITY in Mapun and Taganak Islands, Tawi-tawi last week.

Free Internet access points are now available at Turtle Island National High School and Turtle Islands Municipal Hall, as well as at Mapun National High School and Mapun Municipal Hall.

Personnel of the BRP Bagacay (MRRV-4410) ensured the safe and secure transport of essential Information and Communications Technology (ICT) equipment such as computer monitors, servers, network switches, printers, networking cables, Wi-Fi equipment, and office supplies.

The Coast Guard vessel also provided ship-to-shore transportation and close-in security to government representatives during the activity.
