The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) District Northwestern Luzon has celebrated its 38th Founding Anniversary with PCG Commandant, CG Admiral Leopoldo V Laroya at Poro Point, City of San Fernando, La Union yesterday, 28 January 2022.
The conferment of the following awards to the district’s units and personnel in recognition of their invaluable service was the highlight of the said celebration:
1. Station of the Year: Coast Guard Station La Union headed by CG Captain Noriel P Ramos
2. Sub-Station of the Year: Coast Guard Sub-Station Infanta headed by CG PO1 Rolly De Guzman

During his speech, CG Admiral Laroya commended the PCG District Northwestern Luzon headed by its Commander, CG Commodore Inocencio C Rosario Jr for its successful thrust in responding to various maritime situations, challenges, adversities in the northern part of the archipelago. He also recognized them for becoming the sentinel in securing the country’s maritime domain in the northwestern part of the country which gives pride to the whole PCG organization and also intensifies the presence of the government, especially in far-flung areas.
“To the committed and dedicated men and women of the PCG District Northwestern Luzon, your teamwork is a proof of resiliency. At times you may have been bombarded with work but with the help of one another, you are able to contribute to the success of our organization. I am in high hopes that you will continue to assist one another and bridge gaps among yourselves. Now, I urge you to continue serving the people without hesitation and reservation,” CG Admiral Laroya expressed.
