The Philippine Coast Guard’s (PCG) Task Force Bayanihan for Returning Overseas Filipinos (TFB-ROF) and the CG Medical Service participated in and deployed a total of 50 PCG personnel during the Bureau of Quarantine (BOQ)-led vaccination rollout held at the NAIA Terminal 4, Pasay City, on 11 February 2022.

A total of 328 second doses and booster shots of Sinovac and Moderna vaccines were administered during the said rollout.  Earlier, on 04 February 2022, a total of 573 vaccinees were jabbed during the same vaccination rollout program, making it a total of 901 individuals vaccinated in said two occasions, both undertaken at NAIA Terminal 4.  MIAA Public Affairs Department OFFICER-IN-CHARGE MA. CONSUELO I BUNGAG manages the Terminal 4 facility for said rollouts for and in behalf of MIAA GENERAL MANAGER EDDIE V MONREAL.

Upon receipt of the advise for the said vaccination rollouts and in compliance with Secretary of Transportation, ATTY. ARTHUR P TUGADE’s stern instructions for the PCG to fully support the national Government’s robust drive on COVID-19 vaccination, PCG Command Surgeon, CG COMMO LUZ L ESCARRILLA immediately advised CG MEDICAL OFFICER, CG CDR CORAZON M AGUILAR to provide and supervise PCG medical personnel deployed to reinforce TFB-ROF troops for the said vaccination rollouts.

In compliance with the instructions of PCG OFFICER-IN-CHARGE CG VADM EDUARDO D FABRICANTE, TFB-ROF Commander, CG VADM ROLANDO LIZOR N PUNZALAN JR and TFB-ROF Deputy Commander, CG RADM CHARLIE Q RANCES personally visited the said vaccination rollout and received the reports rendered by CG LTSG ROXANNE M CACANINDIN.  Likewise deployed to lead the PCG’s 50-strong contingent for the said rollout were CG ENS CARISSA MEI D PERALTA and CG ENS MICHAEL T CEDENIO of the TFB-ROF’s Task Group Airport One-Stop-Shop (TGAOSS) headed by CG CAPT ELEIZER G IBARRIENTOS.

During the inspection, the TFB-ROF Commander likewise greeted and expressed appreciation to the personnel of the AVSEGROUP deployed for the vaccination rollout headed by POLICE CHIEF MASTER SERGEANT JAIME O CASINO.

BOQ’s Immunization Chief, MS. MA. LUISA R VILLAVICENCIO (RN) advised that the said rollouts shall continue every week until the supply of vaccination doses earmarked for said program is completely administered, to which the PCG expressed its full commitment to support.
