The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) and Social Security System (SSS) inked a Memorandum of Agreement ( MOA ) at the National Headquarters, Port Area, Manila, yesterday, 06 March 2025.

Presided over by PCG Commandant, Admiral Ronnie Gil L Gavan PCG, and SSS Commissioner Eva Arcos, the ceremonial signing of MOA aimed at boosting PCG personnel's awareness of SSS membership, including its benefits on financial and social protection.

"The PCG thank the SSS for this partnership, we appreciate your commitment to provide our fellow working Filipinos with the benefits they deserved,” Admiral Gavan said

.

"We look forward to more partnerships and collaborations that benefit not only our personnel, but ultimately the entire country,” he furthered.

For her part, SSS Commissioner Arcos expressed her sincere gratitude for the honest, efficient, courageous, and caring service of the PCG.

"As PCG officers and personnel, you face risks in the performance of your duties. Insurance against certain hazards, in times of contingencies, during unexpected events bring a sense of security and peace of mind, not just for the direct SSS members, but also for our beneficiaries," SSS Commissioner Arcos emphasized.

Also present during the event were SSS Senior Vice President of the NCR Operations Group, Maria Rita Aguja; SSS Vice President of the NCR North Division, Fernando Nicolas; PCG Deputy Commandant for Operations, Vice Admiral Edgar Ybañez PCG; Coast Guard Human Resource Management Command (CGHRMC) Commander, Rear Admiral Allen Dalangin PCG; and other PCG senior officers and personnel.
