The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has responded to a drowning incident in the vicinity waters off Barangay Lipit, Dipaculao, Aurora yesterday, 07 April 2023.

36-year-old Carlito Badil, a resident of Bislig City, Surigao Del Sur, was swimming in the vicinity waters with his co-worker, 28-year-old Japet Subang from Southern Leyte, when they were caught by big waves, causing them to be separated.

Mr. Subang made it to the shoreline and survived.

At around 5PM, MDRRMO Dipaculao informed the PCG Station Aurora that the lifeless body of the Mr. Badil was found in the vicinity waters off Barangay Reserva, Dipaculao, Aurora.

The cadaver was brought to a nearby funeral home for proper disposition.
