The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) is set to establish its Boat House Facility at Nueva Extension, Barangay Taft, Surigao City.

Said infrastructure will be utilized as billeting quarters of personnel, particularly those who specialize in maritime search and rescue, maritime security, and maritime law enforcement.

It will also serve as a safekeeping area for PCG's floating assets that are used in responding to emergency situations and/or untoward maritime incidents.

As of 02 June 2021, the construction of the PCG's Boat House Facility in Surigao City marked at 75% completion rate.
