The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Sub-Station Agutaya assisted a half-submerged boat, MOTORBANCA R-JOY, at the vicinity waters off Sitio Paya, Barangay Alcoba in Magsaysay, Palawan, on 22 February 2023.

While traversing the vicinity waters off Guinlabog Island, its starboard bow was accidentally damaged, causing seawater to enter the motorbanca.

After receiving the report from a concerned citizen, the PCG organized a search and rescue (SAR) operation and scoured the vicinity waters.

Upon sighting, the PCG team rescued three passengers and five crew members, all in good health condition.

The team also towed the motorbanca to the Port of Agutaya.
