PCG: Two boxes of sea urchins, with an estimated value of Php 50,000.00, were confiscated by the Coast Guard in Allen, Samar last Friday, June 26 from a public utility bus bound to Manila. 

A certain Jose Siervo, Fisheries Quarantine Officer of BFAR-8 Allen, Northern Samar reported to the personnel of CGSS Allen that the illegally caught sea urchins will be transported onboard Elavil bus, with plate number TYL 967 from Lavezares to Manila. 

Immediately, CGSS Allen and its K-9 unit conducted a paneling inspection at the said bus in Balwarteco Port and discovered the boxes concealed onboard. Said boxes contained 86 packs of undocumented sea urchins owned by a certain Elvy T. Flores, 59 years old, and a resident of Brgy. Villaflores, Lavezares, Northern Samar. 

The bus driver Rolando Clarion stated that said cargoes were loaded from Elavil Booking Office in Lavezares.

The confiscated items were turned-over to Siervo for proper disposition.
