Notice is hereby given to all mariners and other parties concerned that:

1. Reference: Maritime Safety Services CommandAfter Mission Report dated December 23, 2014.

2. The Philippine Coast Guard and the Department of Science and Technology – Advance Science and Technology Institute (DOST-ASTI) installed and deployed a Meteorological Buoy (Metbuoy) in Aborlan, Palawan or at the following coordinates:

3. The Metbuoy project aimed at improving maritime safety and enhancing the weather forecasting system of the Philippines thru real-time data acquisition of sea meteorological information using set of sensors.

4. In this connection, all ships/watercrafts transiting the vicinity of the above-mentioned areas are advised to take note of the information and take necessary precautionary measures at all times.

5. The cooperation of all concerned in effecting widest dissemination of this information is requested.
