Notice is hereby given to all mariners and other parties concerned that:
1. Reference: Radio Massage Cite Coast Guard Station Cebu-0118-010 dated 05 January 2018.
2. The Basilica Minore Del Santo Niňo will celebrate the festivity in honor of Seňor Santo Niňo, Patron Saint of Cebu City this January 2018.
3. As part of the celebration for the Fiesta Seňor 2018 (SINULOG 2018), a fluval procession will be held on 0600H-0800H 20 January 2018 at Cebu Harbor Channel. The devotees onboard vessels/motorbancas will be participating on the said activity. The fluvial procession will start at Capt Veloso Pier, Naval Base, Rafael Ramos, Brgy Looc, Lapu-Lapu City at exactly 0600H. The Galleon will maneuver and a symbolic Blessing of participating seacraft shall be done as the galleon passes until it reaches Mactan-Mandaue old bridge in the position of the fluvial procession. Said Galleon will pass the different ports of Cebu City and will dock at berth 26 and 27, Pier 1, Cebu City where the image will disembark. The distance from Capt. Veloso pier, Naval Base, Rafael Ramos, Brgy Looc, Lapu-Lapu City to Aduana wharf is more or less seven (7) Nautical miles and said procession will take two (2) hours at base speed of five (5) knots.
4. Relatedly the North and South Entrance Channel of Cebu Harbor will temporarily closed from 0400H-0900H 20 January 2018.
5. In this connection, all ships/watercrafts transiting the vicinity of the above-mentioned areas are advised to take note of the information and take necessary precautionary measures.
