Notice is hereby given to all mariners and other parties concerned that:
1. Reference: Radio Message from Acting Commander, Coast Guard District Eastern Visayas.
2. Above reference pertains to the received call of CGS Eastern Leyte from MARINA 8 office on date 171425H February 2019, regarding of the capsized vessel along vicinity waters of Cancabato Bay, Tacloban City. The personnel of CGSS Tacloban proceeded to the area, upon arrival, the said capsized vessel was half submerged. The MV JIN MING no.16 was a foreign vessel that ran aground at Pambujan, Northern Samar last 02 January 2018 due to bad weather condition and later towed to Tacloban City last 23 Jauary 2018 and turned over to the Bureau of Customs Region 8 last 12 February 2018. On or about 1500H of the same date, the team conducted occular inspection around the area of half submerged vessel for possible oil spills and other hazards to the marine environment that yielded negative result.
3. In this connection, all ships/watercrafts transiting the vicinity of the above mentioned areas are advised to take note of the information and take necessary precautionary measures at all times.
4. The cooperation of all concerned in effecting widest dissemination of this information is requested.

Above reference pertains to the Philippine Navy, naval forces Southern Luzon together with USPACOM forces will be conducting its Bilateral Training Exercise codenamed “BALIKATAN” 2019 on 01 TO 07 April 2019 at vicinity shores of Barangay San Miguel, Barangay San Antonio, Zambales to enhance tactics, techniques and procedures and interoperability for Maritime Security Operations to address threats in the area of operations (AO).
