The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG)'s BRP Cape San Agustin (MRRV-4408) conducted a medical evacuation for three ailing residents from Dinagat Islands to Surigao City on 13 January 2022.

The patients were identified as Alfir Gemao of Barangay Magsaysay, Mario Lamotos of Barangay Basilisa, and Nora Canoy of Barangay San Jose in Dinagat Islands.

Two patients suffered from stroke, while the third patient needed immediate dialysis.

Upon arrival in Surigao City, the PCG turned over the patients to the Department of Health (DOH) for the provision of medical assistance at the Caraga Regional Hospital.
