Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Commandant, CG Admiral Leopoldo V Laroya presided over the retirement ceremony in honor of CG Rear Admiral Normando D Reyes at the National Headquarters, Port Area, Manila on 08 February 2022.

CG Rear Admiral Reyes is a graduate of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) "Bigkis Lahi" Class of 1990.

Before his designation as DEPUTY COMMANDER of the Maritime Security and Law Enforcement Command, CG Rear Admiral Reyes was entrusted with major positions, such as DISTRICT COMMANDER of PCG Districts in Eastern Visayas and Northwestern Luzon; DEPUTY COMMANDER of the Coast Guard District Southwestern Mindanao and Coast Guard Education, Training, and Doctrine Command; SUPERINTENDENT of the Coast Guard Basic Training School and Coast Guard School; and STATION COMMANDER of the Coast Guard Station Currimao, Coast Guard Station Sual, Coast Guard Station Aparri, Coast Guard Station Legazpi, and Coast Guard Station San Jose.

For more than 35 years, CG Rear Admiral Reyes provided sincere and dedicated service to the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the PCG.

He is happily married to Mrs. Rosie Pastolero Reyes of Isulan, Sultan Kudarat, and blessed with five children: Diane Rose, Patrick Jose, Christian Jay, Normando Jr, and Christopher.
