Notice is hereby given to all mariners and other parties concerned that:

1. Reference: Coast Guard District  Central Visayas Radio Message Cite CGDCV-0115-013.

2. The Basilica Minore del Santo Niño will celebrate the festivity in honor of Señor Santo Niño, Patron Saint of Cebu City on January 18, 2015.

3. In this connection, a fluvial procession will be held on January 17, 2015. The image the Holy Child will embark on board M/Y “SAN ANTONIO DE SIBULAN” at Ouano Wharf, Mandaue City. M/Y SAN ANTONIO DE SIBULAN will then perform a short loop fluvial procession going to the vicinity of Muele Osmeña Pier and back to the vicinity of Ouano Wharf to conduct blessing to all participating watercrafts before it continue its voyage down the Cebu-Mactan Channel. The vessel will then be passing the different ports of Cebu City up to the vicinity off Barangay Pasil then back Peir 1 and Aduana Wharf. The image of Holy Child will be disembarked at Berth 26 and 27, Pier, Cebu City. 

4. The North and South entrance of Cebu-Mactan Channel will be temporarily closed from 04:00 A.M. to 09:00 A.M. on January 17, 2015.

5. In this connection, all ships/watercrafts regardless of tonnage and transiting the vicinity of the above-mentioned areas are advised to take note of the information and abide with the safety and security measures at all times.

6. The cooperation of all concerned in effecting widest dissemination of this information is requested.

2. In connection with the arrival of Pope Francis to the country on January 15, 2015, the following areas are will be closed to Maritime Traffic from 06:00A.M. to 10:00 A.M. on January 15-16, 2015 bounded by the following coordinates:

3. The Maritime Exclusion and Identification Zones are measured one (1) nautical mile from the shore going seaward. 

4. Identification Zone - all watercraft entering the area will be challenges by Navy and Coast Guard vessels. All watercraft shall state the following: Vessel name, International call sign, intention/activities, cargoes/passengers, port of origin and port of destination. Philippine Navy and Philippine Coast Guard vessels have the option to board and search any vessel

5. Exclusion Zone - No watercraft is allowed to enter the area. All watercraft forcing its way into the zone will be considered hostile and will be subjected to appropriate kinetic response by Philippine Navy and Philippine Coast Guard forces.

6. All ships/watercrafts/vessels (yatch/motor-bancas/fishing boats) regardless of tonnage, and transiting along the vicinity of above-mentioned areas are advised take note of the information and abide with the safety and security measures at all times.
